Maintaining Your Mazda
There are many things to remember when maintaining a car. You have do periodic oil changes, tire rotations, brake jobs, and so on. With following a proper schedule you will suffer premature wear and other problems that could be associated with poor maintenance.

A good rule of thumb is always follow the Mazda manuals that came with the car or truck you are driving. They will list the required things to do at certain mileage. They will say when to change the air filter or radiator fluid along with many other items.

Each manufacture is very different depending on the vehicle in question so never use another brand as a guide on what to do with your car. A Chevy or Ford maintenance plan could be totally different and could cause damage if you followed that one instead of one listed in the Mazda manuals.

Some things, such as oil changes and transmission fluid changes, are often done very differently depending on the manufactures. Some say change the oil every 3000 miles and others can go as long as 12,000 miles. This is a big difference so be sure to follow the proper procedure or you could risk voiding your warranty.

Most Mazda cars will last many years if you properly take care of them and do what is needed to keep them going. I have seen a few only Mazda 626's with 200,000 miles on them, so I know it is possible to have them for a long time if you just do things right.

It is safe to say that everyone is very busy in life, but we still need to take the time to take care of our car or truck in order to get the most out of it. We pay good money for cars, so let us take good care of them. Saving a few bucks here or there in the short run will cost us dearly in the long run. So do not be cheap and spend those few dollars on basic tune ups and fix the little things before it is too late.
