When it comes to running in your new aprilia motorcycle or you are doing an engine rebuild, you want to run it in correctly and as it should be done (as it explains in the Aprilia Workshop Manuals). This is so internal parts of your engine, transmission will have longer life and smoother operation. It is recommended that while running in your aprilia motorcycle engine in, try to do this on hilly roads or possibly bendy roads for the different speed changes.
Also try not to hard brake or avoid bumpy roads to allow the suspension and brakes to be ran in if this is a new motorbike. Once you have hit the 900 mile mark this is when to expect top performance from your aprilia motorcycle. Stick to these rules during the running in process : don't open throttle hard or completely when at low revs. You shouldn't be doing this even after the run in process has been complete.
Before you have reached 600 miles don't go past 6000 rpm, gradually incress the throttle. Once you have done a total of 900 miles your aprilia motorcycle should be run in given full power :) Avoid going over 10,500 rpm. Always follow your aprilia service manuals for complete procedures.
